Stop Sign Monday




Stop Sign Day... yay.

I really dislike the Stop Sign hike. Every Monday it seems to get longer and more boring. Maybe its because its my 8th week!

I didnt beat my old time of 1 hour and 25 min. My time was 1 hour and 26 mins. It was still ok, i pushed as hard as i could. My legs wouldnt work this morning. :( The awesome thing is.... i BEAT Jackie from Biggest Loser Show!!!! Ohhh Yeah! Victory! Im sure she wasnt competing with me. It felt good when i pasted her up though. :)


I had mountain class after the hike. I got the elliptical up to 19 at the end. I seriously dont know how im so good at that thing! But im sooo glad im good at it.

Good advice.... Find something you are good at here at Fitness Ridge, you will just keep getting better and better at it.

Step and Pump is going to be weird without John (trainer).

Tomorrow's hike might be third revine (i cant spell it). We will See!

I got some BEAUTIFUL Roses From my AWESOME old roomate Michelle!!!! Aww Michelle, you are still brightening my day! Awww! (They are in a Biggest Loser Cup because the Maids took the vase.) :( It looks kinda cool though!

Eye Candy - And Welcome!!!

3 more pounds lost.... Total Pounds lost in 7 weeks = 40




Today was fun. Jim, Jerika and I went shopping and ate some Red Meat!!!!! I bought some cool sun glasses and Jerika bought some stuff from Ralph Lauren. It was really hard passing up the Chocolate Factory!!! Geezz! Being in the "Real World" is soo Hard!!!!

Thank you Jim for Taking us out of Jail this Sunday!!!!



After we went shopping and filled our tummies, we went to the over look!!!! Wow, it is SOOO Pretty each time i go there! Seriously, if you come to Fitness Ridge you MUST go to the overlook!



I was sooo happy to see such cool people come in this week. Everyone seems so nice and friendly. My roomate is really sweet!

Kinda weird thing, Dan Evans is here from BL 5, he brought a film crew with him and his family. I hope having all this weird camera stuff around doesnt hurt the attitude of this resort. I hope Dan is normal like the other biggest loser people, Suzy, Seth and Erik. Good thing the camera is only going to be here for a few days.



Stop Sign Tomorrow.... I hope i can beat my old time... 1:25! Wish me Luck!

See you Later - Not Goodbye





Saturday is always my easy day. I made a deal with myself. If i work hard all week, on Saturdays ill walk back from "drop off" (4 miles). Since im here for so long, my body needs its rest. I decrease my stop sign time every week, so it must work..... or maybe its the RED MEAT i eat on Sundays...... hehehe

Saturday is FUN because we have graduation. Every Graduation we get to do an activity. This week it was Bowling. I was really bad at it, but it was really fun to just hang out and be normal.... kinda. We must have looked like dorks out there because we were cheering everyone on for just knocking down one pin!!! Best Bowling Ever!

This Saturday was full of tears. :( My tears started brewing up in the morning. I couldnt believe it was already time for my best friends and AWESOME roomate to leave. These people have been my backbone for weeks. I have seen them ever day, and in almost every class. Its going to be so strange on Sunday and Monday without my "group." I am so thankful to have made such great lifelong friends. I wish them the absolute best on their journey at home.

Camel back with a CamelPack






Ahhh Friday! Last day of hiking!.. until Tuesday. Why not go for the hardest hike.... right?

Camel Back was soooo Beautiful!!! Even Riding in the van there was amazing! There are so many lose cattle here, its so weird. You would never see this in Texas! In Texas, People have all their animals fenced in. Even though im afraid of heights, i managed to climb up the camel hump. Its SOOO straight up, its like climbing a latter but without the convenient steps. (yeah scary) Some people from our group didnt go up it. My thought was... since im here i might as well give it a try! It was a pretty weird feeling sitting up HIGH on top of a camel hump in the middle of mountains. I felt like a was in fairyland.

So the BEST thing about today was Tiffany's Dance Class! (She was a sub for John's Cardio Disco Jam) Wow that was so fun! I felt at home! I love to dance and just act goofy, i miss my friends and family at home.

My biggest accomplishment was running 5.5 during Circuit Training!!!

Horray im getting so much Stronger!

Rain With Pain!

It was rainy and windy all morning, just in time for the hike. So i bailed out! I worked out at the gym. I surprised myself. I actually worked out pretty hard and soaked my shirt up. Then i did some ab work with Jim and took a nice walk with Stephanie.

Ball works was hard as usual, but i still managed to lift 10 pound weights! Others use 5 pound weights... wimps. hehe

Treading was great this time. I did the elliptical and at my highest, level 10, at 9 speed. Thanks to Heidi for encouraging me on the last sprint. I seem to go faster when people yell in my ear, weird huh? After treading i didnt want to go to pool so i did treading again! Good thing Seth, Jen, Michelle and Lindsey were there, i ran at the highest 4.6.

My Biggest accomplishment for today was in Gym Class. Seth motivated me to do push ups and planks! Last time i tried to do those i couldnt even go one second. Yay improvements!

Slots - Slots - Slots





Slots Today! It was easier than i remember! Partly because we didnt go into the birth canal. Been there done that, i dont ever want to go into the birth canal again! Since the change Paige (Manager) made over the hikes, it was EXTREMELY difficult for me to keep up with the group. At one point i couldnt see the last person anymore, so of course, i started crying. BREAKDOWN!!! I feel like i have improved tremendously, so why am i still last? The Hike guide Deb told me she was proud of me for going on such a hard hike and also said i was going 2 times faster than last time i did the hike. Every time i give advice to new people who come here, i always say the same thing... its ok to be last, go at your fast pace. I couldnt take my advice today, i was so heartbroken i was last. But guess what? I sucked up my tears and headed on. At wedding rock i caught up to everyone and i was fine from then on. Hopefully tomorrow i will be able to move with the pack. Darn Paige, why did she have to take me out of my comfort zone! The hikes will never be the same. :(

My biggest accomplishment was doing slots today AND going Level 14 Speed 7 on the elliptical! I dont know why im so good at that thing. Going faster than others on the elliptical makes me feel good. No more treadmill for me this week. Hello Sweaty T-Shirt. Dont worry ill wear extra deodorant. hehehe.

Yay almost the end of week 7!!!!

Chuck - a - Walla or Chuckwalla?





So today i did Hike Chuckwalla. It wasn't to bad. It was a much more easy hike than i thought when i went on it a few weeks ago. Im getting stronger! Tomorrow im doing Slots! Ugh! Its such a hard hike. I hope i can keep up with the others. Paige changed the way the intermediate people do hikes now! Instead of having people in groups according to speed, the intermediate groups now get to pick what hike they want to do. It would be fine for the fast people. Us Slower people might have a problem. Lets see how this goes....

Biggest accomplishment today was doing the elliptical at level 25!!!!!!

Im looking forward to tomorrow.... Quiznos! If you stay here for 3-4 weeks you get to go to Quiznos with Paige! Yay Real food!

Get 'em!



So Today is my 43rd Day Here at Biggest Loser Resort. Mondays are always hard for me. Every Monday we do the Stop Sign Hike, timed. This week i took 4 mins off since last Monday. The only reason i did it is because Jim wanted to race me to mini stop sign. I tried sooo hard to pass him at the start, but around the middle of the hike... I SMOKED HIM! I looked back and he was the size of an ant... VICTORY. Hahah! I would have never guessed i would race someone on this hike. The first time i did it, i couldnt even barley walk it without hyperventilating. This time i RAN some parts!!! Its crazy!!! I'm lovin the new Cherise.

My mom sent me a cute card in the mail today. It made me feel special, not everybody gets mail!!! She quoted someone. "When you feel like giving up, remember why you held on for so long." Its so true!

Now off to do some more cardio....

Life Changing


Being here has changed my life. I am finally seeing the old Cherise come back! No longer am i a shy girl! I am outgoing and fun! When i first got here i was sad and lonely, i thought my time here would never end! Now people here are describing me as an inspiration, a hero, beautiful and amazing! I would have NEVER guessed anyone would EVER say those things to me!

I have met so many wonderful people, NFL Player for the Houston Texans, old Biggest Loser contestants, and many motivators. I have had 2 awesome roomates and 1 new awesome one who is going home this week. :( I miss friends that left this week, but im excited to meet new ones!

I am so blessed to be here! 7 weeks down, 37 pounds lost and 4 more fabulous weeks to go!

I CAN!!!!


This week has been the best week of my life! I am so much stronger than last week! I can now do so many things i thought i couldn't!

My Most memorable moment was when I finished the Stop Sign Hike! It was so awesome because there was a big group of people cheering me on as i made my way up. I'll never forget TODAY for as long as I live. I finally know I can do this!

In order to Succeed in whatever you want to do sometimes you have to shut off the word CAN'T From your mind and turn it into CAN. There are so many things you CAN do, just try!

First Week

The first week here was extremely difficult emotionally and physically. I knew no one!!!! The closest person i knew was the lady who i took the shuttle with on the way to the Biggest Loser Resort. On My first Tuesday here my body could not take the intense physical exercise.
i literally could not move an inch without pain! I kept telling myself, "You can do this, look at the others around you!" (Most people here are decades older than me) BAD IDEA!!! I realized i couldn't do what they could, which lead me to a HUGE BREAKDOWN!!! I cried. Immediately i was surrounded by people who cared about me! The trainers, staff, everyone rushed to me asking me if i was ok.

I learned a lot that day. NEVER compare yourself to others and the main thing is people here really care about me!!!

Everything has been better since my first Tuesday! Thank goodness!

About Me.....

Im Staying at The Biggest Loser Resort for 10 Weeks. I am staying for a long time because i have never been able to go longer than a month on a diet, and i need to lose a LOT of weight. I have not prepared for this level of exercise or 1200 calories a day so this is rehab for me!
